Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Dietary I assists Dietary II and III staff with food production and meal service for patients, residents, and staff. This position supports daily Dietary operations by assisting with food preparation and serving, maintaining equipment, utensils, and supplies, and ensuring kitchen, food preparation, and dining areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
The Dietary I follows established food safety, infection control, confidentiality, and departmental policies and procedures while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality food service.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation and serving meals for patients, residents, and staff.
Support Dietary II and III staff with food production and daily food service activities.
Maintain sanitary working conditions and follow established procedures to prevent food contamination.
Follow applicable food safety, infection control, quality assurance, and confidentiality standards.
Safely operate, clean, and care for kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas.
Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation, kitchen, and dining areas.
Assist with the proper care and organization of Dietary equipment, utensils, and supplies.
Complete and maintain required Dietary documentation accurately and timely.

Minimum Qualifications
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Food Handler Certificate or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Additional qualifications may be required based on the specific position assignment.
