Revenue Cycle Manager - District
Job Description: Revenue Cycle Manager

Job Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue cycle processes within the healthcare district. This includes ensuring efficient and accurate billing, coding, and collections while maximizing revenue and minimizing claim denials. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in healthcare finance, and a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management.

Reports to:

JCFHD Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the revenue cycle team, including hiring,
training, mentoring, and performance management. Works in
collaboratively with outsourced revenue cycle management
company.

• In conjunction with outsourced revenue cycle management
company and manager of patient access, oversees all
aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient
registration, coding, billing, and collections (including
point of service collections).

• Works with Admissions Manager and Case Management
personnel to avoid and/or appeal payment denials.

• Manages customer service personnel to field and answer
patient billing inquiries. Functions as customer service
personnel in their absence.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement
strategies to improve revenue cycle performance and
efficiency. Intercede with outsourced billing company,
JCFHD managers, and administration to course correct
performance when indicators are not met.

• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure
compliance with regulations and payer requirements.

• Work closely with clinical, administrative, and finance
teams to ensure smooth revenue cycle processes.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas
for improvement and implement corrective actions as
needed.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes,
and best practices in revenue cycle management.

• Prepare and present regular reports on revenue cycle
performance to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as payers,
auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

• Resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues,
including appeals and denials management.

• Identify opportunities to optimize revenue streams and
reduce costs within the revenue cycle.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare
administration, business, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare
revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding (CPT,
ICD-10), and reimbursement practices.

• Experience working with healthcare information
systems and electronic health records (EHR).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment.

• Proficiency in using financial and billing software.
• Certification in healthcare finance or revenue cycle
management (e.g., CRCR, HFMA) is a plus.

• Experience in working with an outsourced RCM vendor
strongly preferred

• Preferred – experience with Skilled Nursing Facility
billing, Critical Access Hospital billing, and/or
RHC billing.”

Additional Information
Position Type : Full Time
Salary: $114,000.00 to $178,000.00 per year
