 Position Summary
 
 Under general supervision, the Dietary II is responsible for food preparation, production, and service for patients, residents, staff, and visitors. This position maintains sanitary and safe conditions in all food preparation and dining areas, ensures food quality and temperature standards are met, and adheres to all regulatory and departmental policies and procedures.

 Key Responsibilities
 
 Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods in accordance with established menus, diet orders, and nutritional standards.
 
 Ensure all food is prepared, portioned, and served safely, attractively, and at the proper temperature.
 
 Follow standardized recipes and make substitutions as needed while maintaining nutritional value and taste.
 
 Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, food prep, and dining area in compliance with infection control and safety regulations.
 
 Safely operate, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
 
 Accurately complete required production sheets, temperature logs, and sanitation checklists.
 
 Comply with all District, departmental, and regulatory policies related to food safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality.
 
 Monitor food and supply inventories; assist in receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries according to food safety standards.
 
 Work collaboratively with coworkers, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
 
 Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and positive communication with patients, residents, and staff.
 
 Uphold department dress, hygiene, and safety policies at all times.

 Minimum Qualifications:
 
 Highschool diploma or equivalent
 
 Valid Food Handlers Certificate - or obtained within six (6) months of hire
 
 Serve Safe Certification – must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

 Wage Range: Based on union placement within the listed wage range
